Key Aspects Of Mentoring

It requires cooperation from both ends of the relation. It is a relationship built on mutual understanding. The primary step of starting a mentorship in an organization is:

Selection of mentor and mentee: A mentor is selected according to the ‘mentee’s requirements.

  • Trust and Respect:  Mutual understanding is a must in the relation.  When your mentee respects you and your personal space, only then does it works in the best way. Also, the Mentee’s trust in the relationship is a building block of their relation.  Provided the mentee trusts the system and his guide, only then can the mentee develop some change.
  • Goals and Challenges:  There are some goals to achieve.  While achieving these goals, both mentor and mentee can face many challenges.  However, if both guide and the guided work together to overcome these challenges, they can quickly make their common goals.
  • Passion and inspiration:  The Mentor must be passionate and eager to learn, while the master should work like inspiration.  So, their passion and inspiration help them to acquire their goals by overcoming their challenges.
  • Listening to each other’s viewpoint:  Both the guide and the guided should be patient and listen to each other’s concerns. Sometimes even mentors can get a chance to learn something new and innovative from the mentee.

A mentorship is a great tool for the organization’s progress and self-introspection and development for both the mentor and the mentee. To know more about mentoring and mastering it, enroll in the “Proactive Vision Courses for CEOs.” Meet Us here to get the details of the course.
